The expression of Usp14KK102888 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU leads to third instar larvae showing increased sensitive to UV radiation.

Testes of males expressing Usp14KK102888 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.bam, but not Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU, exhibit sperm individualization defects, as compared to controls.

No phenotype is observed when CG5384KK102888 is expressed using Scer\GAL4sqh.PW.

Scer\GAL4elav.PU, CG5384KK102888 adults are slower than controls and are dead by 40 days.
