Expression of cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa under Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 control at 25[o]C induces massive apoptosis. However, under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62, cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa expression leads to a slight overgrowth of the distal wing domain and no or few apoptotic cells.

Expression of cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in abnormal growth of the dorsal wing disc compartment, characterised by the formation of extra folding.

Expression of cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 results in an expansion (by 26.2%) of the distal hinge domain of the wing disc.

Expression of cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 results in a 34% increase in BrdU incorporation in the posterior compartment of the wing disc (domain of expression) compared to the anterior compartment.

Expression of cpadsRNA.Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 from the early third larval instar onwards (the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele is used to restrict expression before this stage) results in increased F-actin in the posterior compartment of the wing disc.
