The size, morphology and number of nuclei in the prothoracic gland is normal in larvae expressing cncdsRNA.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL45015.

Expression of cncdsRNA.C.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4phm.PO or Scer\GAL45015 results in delayed pupation compared to controls.

Feeding with 20-hydroxyecdysone rescues the delayed pupation seen in larvae expressing cncdsRNA.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4phm.PO.

Pupae expressing cncdsRNA.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4phm.PO are larger than control larvae.

Expression of cncdsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Switch.tub significantly decreases the survival of both sexes after exposure to oxidative stress.
