VA1d olfactory receptor neuron axons mistarget either dorsomedially or dorsolaterally in 50% of cases in mutant animals.

The VA1d and DC3 projection neuron dendrites of adNb clones mistarget extensively to dorsomedial and ventral regions in the antennal lobe. Mistargeting of dendrites is also seen in single-cell VA1d or DC3 projection neuron clones.

Homozygous DA1 projection neurons in lateral neuroblast clones show local medial mistargeting at a low penetrance.

Homozygous VA1v projection neurons in ventral neuroblast clones mistarget dendrites to the medial antennal lobe (100% penetrance).

Homozygous single cell DM6 projection neuron clones target their dendrites normally.

Expression of Toll-6Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mz19 in lateral neuroblast clones in homozygous Toll-6ex13 animals results in extensive intermingling of VA1d olfactory receptor neuron axons and DA1 projection neuron dendrites.

Septic injury of Toll-6ex13 mutant flies results in activation of the innate immune response.
