Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB or Scer\GAL4yolk blocks IMD pathway activation after infection and renders flies insensitive to infection by a number of Gram-Negative bacteria such as E. cloacae or E. carotovara. No effects were seen on Toll pathway activation by Gram-positive bacteria.
Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB or Scer\GAL4yolk blocks IMD pathway activation after infection with E. coli. Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4yolk blocks IMD pathway activation after injection with highly purified PGN from E.coli.
IMD pathway activation is not blocked when PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB after injection with Lys-type PGN from S.aureus.
PGRP-LFUAS.GFP/Scer\GAL4hs.PB partially rescues PGRP-LFRNAi.1.UAS
PGRP-LFUAS.GFP/Scer\GAL4hs.PB partially rescues PGRP-LFRNAi.2.UAS
Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP partially rescues the infection-independent immune response seen when PGRP-LFdsRNA.1.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB.
Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP partially rescues the infection-independent immune response seen when PGRP-LFdsRNA.2.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB.
Expression of PGRP-LFScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 rescues the wing notching defects seen in PGRP-LF200 mutant flies.
