Expressing HLD.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in slightly smaller eyes with a rough appearance and ectopic or absent interommatidial bristles.

Expressing HLD.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU leads to overall reduced wing area, vein thickening and ectopic nets of veins at the distal part of the longitudinal veins L2 and L5 when flies are raised at 18[o]C. At a rearing temperature of 25[o]C, wings display a further area reduction, incisions of the wing margin at the tip and ectopic bristles (chaetae) along ectopic veins. Under the control of Scer\GAL4bi.PU, wings are significantly smaller and display ectopic veins at the distal part of L2 and L5 (but no incisions or ectopic bristles) at 18[o]C, and more severely at 25[o]C.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4 has no effect on wing disc proliferation.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no effect on wing disc proliferation.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS under the control of Su(H)Scer\UAS.cMa has very little effect on the bristles.

Co-expressing Su(H)UAS.cMa with HLD.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU results in enlarged and malformed wings when flies are raised at 18[o]C, and more severely at 25[o]C.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not suppress the wing disc hyperproliferation phenotype seen when Su(H)Scer\UAS.cMa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not suppress the wing disc hyperproliferation phenotype seen when Su(H)WARE.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not suppress the eye hyperproliferation phenotype seen when Su(H)Scer\UAS.cMa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not suppress the eye hyperproliferation phenotype seen when Su(H)WARE.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not enhance the wing disc proliferation defects seen when Su(H)Scer\UAS.cMa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4.

Expression of HLD.Scer\UAS does not enhance the bristle phenotypes seen when Su(H)Scer\UAS.cMa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.
