Expression of Zzzz\CGG100.5'UTR.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long leads to moderate rough eye phenotype and formation of inclusions in the ommatidia in adult flies maintained at 28[o]C.

Flies expressing Zzzz\CGG100.5'UTR.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a moderate rough eye phenotype.

The eye degeneration phenotype as well as formation of inclusions in the ommatidia observed in adult flies expressing Zzzz\CGG100.5'UTR.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long (and maintained at 28[o]C) is significantly enhanced by co-expression of Prosβ21.Scer\UAS (which on its own also induces rough eye phenotype) and suppressed by co-expression of Hsc70-4Scer\UAS.cEa, the eye degeneration is most severe when two copies of the Prosβ21.Scer\UAS transgene are used. The Zzzz\CGG100.5'UTR.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-induced rough eye phenotype can also be enhanced by co-expression of Prosβ61.B.Scer\UAS.
