Under constant darkness conditions, most flies expressing domHMC04203 under the control of either Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf alone, Scer\GAL4tim.PE alone, or Scer\GAL4tim.PE in combination of Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS, lose circadian rhythmicity and periods become longer, as compared to controls. Longer periods are also observed when the Scer\GAL4tim.PE, Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS-regulated expression is restricted to adulthood, but not to development (by using Gal80[ts] for the temporal control of expression).

The expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE alone has no effect on amplitude of rhythms or morning anticipation under LD cycles.

The expression of domHMC04203 under the control of either Scer\GAL4tim.PE or Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf does not lead to obvious defects in the brain structure and does not affect the number of lLNvs neurons or their dorsal projections. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE also does not affect the number of sLNv neurons.

Expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in pupal lethality.

Expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 results in a minority of flies exhibiting wing nicks or defective wing margins, in contrast to controls.

Expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16 causes significantly decreased female fertility, with germline development in the germarium appearing normal, but later stage egg chambers appearing defective, as compared to controls.

Expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 does not affect the development of the germarium or ovariole, but results in a significant proportion of eggs showing the 'dumpless' egg phenotype, as shown by defective late stage egg chambers with short eggs and non-fragmented nurse cells, and a significant reduction in egg-laying, as compared to controls.

Expression of domHMC04203 under the control of Scer\GAL4tj.PU or Scer\GAL4C587 leads to severe packaging defects during oogenesis, ranging from two cysts in a single egg chamber to complete ovariole fusions; many germaria show additional stalk-like structures without germline cysts, and egg laying is nearly completely abolished, as compared to controls.
