lethal, with Scer\GAL4Tub.PU
Expression of His1dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU leads to partial (at lower temperature 18[o]C or 22[o]C) or complete (at higher temperature 26[o]C or 29[o]C) lethality. At 29[o] the animals survive through the third larval instar but the larvae have smaller wing imaginal discs as well as salivary glands that contain fewer cells with enlarged nuclei, furthermore the morphology of the polytene chromosomes is abnormal as the sister chromatids are mis-aligned and the appearance of the chromocenter is disrupted.
The position effect variegation at the Sb or y locus caused by T(2;3)SbV or P{SUPor-P}KV00111, respectively is suppressed in flies expressing His1dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cLa driven by Scer\GAL4tub.PU.
His1RNAi.UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Tub.PU has lethal phenotype, suppressible by Dp(2;2)Cam8
His1RNAi.UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Tub.PU has lethal phenotype, suppressible by Dp(2;Y)H1/Dp(2;1)C239
His1RNAi.UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Tub.PU has lethal phenotype, suppressible by Dp(2;f)Bl
The complete lethality of flies expressing His1dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU when raised at 29[o]C is alleviated by combination with Dp(2;2)Cam8 or Dp(2;f)Bl or Dp(2;1)C239 combined with Dp(2;Y)H1.
