Expression of Hsap\PLCD1PH.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4n-syb.PS results in neuromuscular junction (NMJ) overgrowth in third instar larvae, including increased total branch length and satellite boutons. A less severe increase in NMJ length is seen when Hsap\PLCD1PH.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP is expressed under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav-C155 or Scer\GAL4D42.

Expression of Hsap\PLCD1PH.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4n-syb.PS results in reduced synaptic vesicle cycling (reduced uptake of FM 1-43 dye) during intense stimulation. Neurotransmitter characteristics (excitatory junctional current (EJC) and miniature EJC) are similar to controls.
