The expression of Gcn2dsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Dh44.PU increases baseline level of sucrose consumption, but does not abolishes the increased food consumption induced by dietary amino acids normally observed in controls. However, this expression does not further increase food consumption in the presence of dietary amino acids.
Expression of Gcn2dsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the 16 hours prior to analysis, significantly reduces the feeding inhibition and prevents the increase in larval roaming observed when larvae are moved to an essential amino acid-deficient diet, with no effect on food intake on a rich diet, compared to controls.
Expression of Gcn2dsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.TH-D', in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the 16 hours prior to analysis, significantly reduces the feeding inhibition observed when larvae are moved to an essential amino acid-deficient diet, compared to controls.
Gcn2RNAi.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4ple.PF has abnormal feeding behavior | larval stage | nutrition conditional phenotype, suppressible | partially by GABA-B-R1VDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4ple.PF
Gcn2RNAi.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4ple.PF is a suppressor | partially of abnormal feeding behavior | larval stage phenotype of Scer\GAL4ple.PF, slifUY681
Gcn2RNAi.UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4ple.PF is a non-suppressor of abnormal feeding behavior | larval stage phenotype of GABA-B-R1VDRC.cUa, Scer\GAL4ple.PF
Additional expression of GABA-B-R1VDRC.cUa in animals expressing Gcn2dsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF reduces larval food intake so that it is similar to that of controls on an essential amino acid-deficient diet, but significantly lower than controls on a rich diet, so that feeding inhibition is still not seen.
