100% of mus301660/Df(3L)66C-G28 egg chambers have a mutant karyosome, 4% have misplaced oocytes and 4% have small oocytes. 30% of eggs laid by mus301660/Df(3L)66C-G28 females are ventralised.

98% of mus301660/mus301D1 egg chambers have a mutant karyosome. 45% of eggs laid by mus301660/mus301D1 females are ventralised.

mus301660/Df(3L)66C-G28 females show 41% X chromosome nondisjunction. mus301660/Df(3L)ZP3 females show 42% X chromosome nondisjunction.

mus301660/Df(3L)66C-G28 and mus301094/mus301660 larvae are sensitive to MMS compared to controls.

Egg chambers of females exhibit a partially penetrant disruption in the positioning of the oocyte which can be located anywhere in the egg chamber.

In approximately 29% of mutant egg chambers, the oocyte fails to move to the posterior and lies either at the anterior of the germline cyst or in the middle, with nurse cells on both sides. Follicle cells migrate to the middle of the bipolar egg chamber, to form a belt around the oocyte.
