    Description

8bp deletion 175bp downstream of the putative start codon, resulting in the first 59 amino acid residues of dx being fused with a 79 amino acid peptide originating from the out-of-frame sequence presumably generated by the frameshift.

Frameshift after the first 59 amino acids of the open reading frame.

    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Homozygous and dx24/dx152 flies show wing vein thickening, with the severity of the phenotype being stronger in the dx24/dx152 flies.

Hemizygous males show distal wing blade notching.

Small deltas of extra vein material visible where the veins meet the margin.

Effects on wing development by dx24/Y and H2/+ are mutually levelled. dx24/Y wing phenotypes, both regarding vein broadening and spread out wings, as well as haploinsufficient vein shortening in H2 mutants are largely restored in dx24/Y, H2/+ flies. Yet the fragile wing texture typical of dx mutants remains.

Escaper of the lethality in combination with Hsc70-4195 show tiny wings, small eyes, malformed legs and die shortly after eclosure.

70% of dx24 flies carrying NΔECN.hs show complete rescue.
