Embryos expressing ifC.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 do not show axon defects in the central or peripheral nervous systems.

Scer\GAL4how-24B mediated expression of ifC.Scer\UAS causes a dominant eye phenotype.

mew498 clones in the eye disrupt photoreceptor organisation. Scer\GAL4hs.PB-mediated expression of ifC.Scer\UAS allows some rescue of the phenotype.

Partially rescues the first instar lethality of mewM6 homozygotes when expressed using Scer\GAL448Y, although the animals do not survive past the second larval instar stage.

Scer\GAL4684 induced expression of ifC.Scer\UAS fails to rescue the blistering phenotype of dorsal mewM6 or mew498 clones.

Scer\GAL4684 induced expression of ifC.Scer\UAS rescues ifA7 ventral clones completely.

The lethality caused by ifk27e can be rescued by Scer\GAL4how-24B mediated expression of one copy of P{UAS-if.C}, a copy of both P{UAS-if.C} and P{UAS-if.m8} or two copies either P{UAS-if.C}. Adult survivors carrying one copy of P{UAS-if.C} exhibit wing blisters at a higher frequency than the other survivors.
