Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Only 5% of roX1MB710 Df(1)52 hemizygous males with P{w+4Δ4.3} survive to adulthood, but these animals are abundant and healthy at late third instar.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The presence of roX1::Dpse\roX1Δ39pseudo.Hsp83 rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability.

Complementation and Rescue Data
Comments

The presence of roX1Scer\UAS.cKa (without a Scer\GAL4 driver) fails to rescue the viability found in roX1MB710 Df(1)52 double mutant males. When the polytene chromosomes of these dying males are examined, the X chromosome exhibits collapsed morphology and very low levels of bound MSL proteins. However, the autosomal region around the transgene insertion site (within 1-2Mbp) is heavily coated with MSL complex in all nuclei.

The presence of roX1Δ39 rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability.

The presence of roX1ΔReg1.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 47% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔSL1.Hsp83 fails to rescue roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔIRB.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 62% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔIRB.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 10% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔAB.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 12% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔRB1.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 38% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔRB2.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 60% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔRB3.Hsp83 partially rescues roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to 47% of wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔRB123.Hsp83 fails to rescue roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to wild-type levels.

The presence of roX1ΔRB1-3.Hsp83 fails to rescue roX1MB710 Df(1)52 male viability to wild-type levels.
