Scer\GAL4C855a-mediated expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS results in overgrown larval L3 neuroepithelium and ectopic neuroblasts.

Overexpression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS in intestinal stem cells (ISCs) under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B is sufficient to induce proliferation along the gut in the absence of infection, although the resulting cells are abnormally shaped and do not appear as fully differentiated enterocytes.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS in enterocytes under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 results in a adult flies with guts two times shorter and three times wider than wild-type fly guts.

Guts of flies overexpressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B are shorter compared with guts wild-type flies 48 hours post-infection with Erwinia carotovora carotovora 15 (Ecc15).

Guts of flies expressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS in enterocytes under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B do not elongate upon infection with Erwinia carotovora carotovora 15 (Ecc15). After a recovery phase, the guts are 40% shorter than their wild-type counterparts.

Overexpression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS in enterocytes under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B induces hight levels of cell delamination in the absence of Erwinia carotovora carotovora 15 (Ecc15) infection.

Clones of enterocytes overexpressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B rapidly disappear from the epithelium compared with wild-type clones suggesting an increased rate of delamination. The detached cells in these guts differ from those in wild-type flies in that they do not undergo cell death, have normal nuclei and do not contain enlarged vacuoles.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev results in a rough eye phenotype. 20% of ommatidia have an extra R7 photoreceptor cell.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS in the adult notum under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 results in extra dorsocentral bristles.

Clones that express Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI form large, disorganised clusters in morphogenetic furrow. The cells of the furrow appear to be disrupted in these clones.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, in the posterior compartment cells if embryos leads to a reduction in the level of apoptosis of these cells, but has no effect on mitosis. Cells are of an increased size leading to an increase in compartment size of 18%.

In late 3rd instar eye discs, Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI somatic clones exhibit ectopic neuronal differentiation, but photoreceptors in these clones fail to express R8 markers. When the clones fall anterior to the morphogenetic furrow, precocious neural differentiation occurs within the clone which also non-autonomously induces the formation of ectopic furrows.

Ganglionic branch 1s turn prematurely before reaching the midline in Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4bs-23.26 embryos.

Clones of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS (driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PC) in the adult abdomen do not show any consistent alterations of normal polarity.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS does not confer dorsal trunk or visceral branch features to other tracheal branches.

Flies expressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 do not eclose at 25oC, at 18oC the flies eclose but have abnormal wings.

Clones in the eye disc expressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI posterior to the morphogenetic furrow show extra photoreceptor cell recruitment. Ectopic morphogenetic furrow formation is seen.

The mitotic index in the gut of flies overexpressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS is decreased but not abolished when domeΔTMCYT.Scer\UAS is co-expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B.

The mitotic index in the gut of flies overexpressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS is decreased but not abolished when Stat92ENIG.cUa is co-expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B.

The mitotic index in the gut of flies overexpressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS is decreased but not abolished when Socs36EScer\UAS.cCa is co-expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 and Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B.

The rough eye and extra R7 photoreceptor cell phenotypes caused by expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev are not suppressed by co-expression of Socs36EScer\UAS.P\T.cCa.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL does not rescue the lack of arcs and rosettes in the morphogenetic furrow of eye discs with pntΔ88 Minute clones.

Expression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF partially rescues the lack of cluster formation in the morphogenetic furrow of ato1 eye disc clones.

Coexpression of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS and CycEScer\UAS.cLa, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, blocks CycEScer\UAS.cLa-induced apoptosis in the embryonic posterior compartment cells. There is a reduction in compartment size, similar to that seen when only Ras85DV12.Scer\UAS is expressed, and cells are of a size similar to that seen when only CycEScer\UAS.cLa is expressed.

Precocious and ectopic neuronal differentiation in Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI somatic clones in the eye discs is largely suppressed by sensScer\UAS.cNa, as is ectopic morphogenetic furrow formation.

The addition of Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS (driven by Scer\GAL41407) to sim2 suppresses the sim2 embryonic brain phenotype. In 55% of embryos, restoration of the midbrain, including ganglia and axons tracts is seen.

Neuronal differentiation is seen in ato3/Df(3R)p13 eye discs expressing Egfr::toract.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4.
