    The velocity of sister chromatid separation in anaphase of mitotic cycles 6-8 increases significantly with increasing maternal CycB gene dosage: CycBunspecified/+ < wild-type < 2XCycB+t10. This is reflected in a decrease in anaphase duration. The duration of prophase + metaphase between cycles 6 and 10 increases with increasing maternal CycB gene dosage (genetics as above), but the length of interphase during these cycles decreases with increasing maternal CycB gene dosage (CycBunspecified/+ > wild-type > 2XCycB+t10. This latter effect is particularly pronounced in later mitotic cycles (10 and 11).

    99% of cycle 5-7 embryos derived from females carrying one copy of CycB+ have metaphase spindles with asters, compared to 84% in wild-type controls.

    The frequency of the degrading egg chamber phenotype seen in twinry3 hemizygotes is not significantly altered by CycBunspecified/+.

    Cells in the dorsolateral epidermis arrest prematurely in G2 of cycle 15 in CycA5/CycBunspecified embryos. The nuclear density in these embryos is also halved.

    The addition of CycAunspecified, CycBunspecified, CycB3unspecified or cdc2unspecified have no effect on survival of Cdk43 homozygotes.

    The lethality of embryos derived from mei-41D3/mei-41D5 females is partly rescued if the females are also heterozygous for CycBunspecified, and greater rescue is seen if the females are also heterozygous for both CycAunspecified and CycBunspecified.
