SScer\UAS.cGb; Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 have faint ectopic vein material near longitudinal veins.

Expression of SScer\UAS.cGb when driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no detectable effect.

Strong ectopic expression of SScer\UAS.cGb directed by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 induces faint extravein material located near longitudinal veins.

Co-expression of SScer\UAS.cGb and rhoScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4kni.L2 results in ectopic veins that are displaced from the endogenous L2 wing vein by a few cells.

Coexpression of SScer\UAS.cGb and stetScer\UAS.cGa when driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 during wing development gives a highly penetrant pupal lethality. Despite the lethality, fully differentiated wings can be dissected from pupal cases, revealing a strong ectopic vein phenotype. much stronger than seen in stetScer\UAS.cGa,Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 wings alone. The addition of grkScer\UAS.cQa to SScer\UAS.cGb, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 flies causes an ectopic wing vein phenotype seen in these flies.

Expression of SScer\UAS.cGb directed by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 in homozygous rho6 clones does not suppress the rho6 phenotype. Co-expression of EgfrDN.Scer\UAS.cBa, SScer\UAS.cGb and rhoScer\UAS.cBa driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, does not suppress the EgfrDN.Scer\UAS.cBa induces loss of vein phenotype nor restore the rhoScer\UAS.cBa induced ectopic vein phenotype. Expression of spihs.PG has no observable effect on SScer\UAS.cGb driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.

Comments

The vein truncation phenotype seen in SDN.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 flies is rescued by SScer\UAS.cGb.
