Overexpression of tumScer\UAS.cSa driven by either Scer\GAL4e22c or Scer\GAL4ap-md544 has little effect on viability or on embryonic epidermal patterning.

Overexpression of tumScer\UAS.cSa driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 produces a decrease in the overall size of the wing.

Overexpression of tumΔPav.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 does not reduce wing size.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 or Scer\GAL4C-765 the corrugation of the adult vein is eliminated, and the intervein distance decreased. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E the adult veins are thinned, the wings are reduced in size and the sensory organs reduced in number.

Co-expression of tumScer\UAS.cSa with pavScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-m6 in the developing embryonic epidermis driven by Scer\GAL4e22c results in embryonic lethality.

Co-expression of tumScer\UAS.cSa with pavScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-m6 in the developing embryonic epidermis driven by Scer\GAL4e22c causes reduction of the segmental naked cuticle expanse. The penetrance of this segmentation defect is increased when embryos are heterozygous for wgl-17.

Co-expression of tumScer\UAS.cSa with pavScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-m6 driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a profound decrease in eclosion rate. The few flies that eclose show wings that are reduced in size and blistered.

Co-expression of tumScer\UAS.cSa driven by Scer\GAL4arm.PS partially blocks the cell-fate transformation induced by armS10.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC expression and allows some denticle production.

Comments

Expression of tumScer\UAS.cSa driven by Scer\GAL4e22c rescues the epidermal pattern defects of tumAR2 mutants.

Expression of RacGAP50CScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c partially rescues the lethality and completely rescues the cuticle patterning defects of RacGAP50CAR2 embryos.
