Embryos produced by oskA87/Df(3R)p-XT103 females that express osk3'UTR.Scer\UAS.P\T, under the control of both Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16 and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, show the 'posterior group' phenotype.

Only 1% of osk3'UTR.Scer\UAS.P\T; Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 embryos show defects in the head cuticle.

The penetrance and severity of embryonic cuticle patterning defects in osk3'UTR.Scer\UAS.P\T; Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 embryos is enhanced by Hrb27C02647/+ (5% head defects and 1% bicaudal), Hrb27Ck16203/+ (4% head defects). Hrb27Ck02814/+ (8% head defects and 3% bicaudal) or aretQB/+ (4% head defects).

osk3'UTR.Scer\UAS.P\T can fully suppress the germ cell replication defects seen in Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16; aretScer\UAS.P\T.cFa ovarioles.

However, the 'posterior group' phenotype of the embryos produced from these females is not rescued.
