Expression of chicScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c has no effect on wound closure.

Expression via Scer\GAL4fkh.PH leads to embryos showing a disorganized epidermis (in regions of Scer\GAL4fkh.PH expression). The salivary glands nonetheless invaginate.

Expression of chicScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 causes the inefficient expansion of histoblast nests, provoking abdominal clefts. chicScer\UAS.cCa-overexpressing histoblasts lack the numerous long actin protrusions formed during expansion in wild-type cells, and instead exhibit rare short filopodia and lamellipodia. The transition of histoblast nests from pseudostratified epithelia to an unstratified monolayer is delayed in animals of this genotype.

In the brains of flies expressing chicScer\UAS.cCa, under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, the LNv innervation covers a target area that is significantly larger than in wild-type brains. Additionally, the posterior tract of the LNv neurons shows a defasciculation phenotype in ~48% of these flies.

Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y-mediated expression of chicScer\UAS.cCa significantly suppresses the γ axon growth phenotype of Imp7 mutant neurons.

Flies that co-express chicScer\UAS.cCa and Fmr1Scer\UAS.cZa, both under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf, show a wild-type-like pattern of LNv innervation. The LNv fasciculation phenotype seen when chicScer\UAS.cCa is expressed alone is suppressed. Coexpression of chicScer\UAS.cCa significantly reduces the mushroom body phenotype seen when flies overexpress Fmr1Scer\UAS.cZa under the control of Scer\GAL4c747.

The border follicle cell migration defect seen in egg chambers expressing Rac1N17.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 is partially suppressed by coexpression of chicScer\UAS.cCa.

Comments

Co-expression of chicScer\UAS.cCa partially suppresses the failure of wound closure seen in larvae expressing chicNIG.9553R under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c.
