Escaper adult flies expressing Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 show anterior duplications in the wing, legs and antennae. In the wing, the domain between the costa and subcosta is enlarged with frequent expanded costa duplications and there are extra, disorganized costa bristles. However, these wings do not show obvious anomalies in the LV3-LV4 region. The first pair of legs belonging to these escapers are shorter and thicker than in wild type and have anterior sex-comb duplications. Legs of the third pair are extremely deformed, with enlarged and fused articles.

Adult flies that express Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1 have frequent anomalies in the costa region of the wing, leading to large anterior duplications.

Anterior clones expressing Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in the wing disc lead to disc overgrowth.

In escaper flies that express Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa, under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32, in a fu41 background, the wing phenotype is enhanced compared to flies expressing the transgene in a wild-type background. fu41, Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa, Scer\GAL4da.G32 wings show anterior duplications but also have a truncated vein 2, an enlargement of the domain between vein 2 and the margin, and veins 3 and 4 are completely fused with a large delta at the margin. These flies also show an enhancement of the leg phenotype seen in Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa, Scer\GAL4da.G32 flies. Flies expressing Su(fu)Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a fu1 background show the same phenotypes as those with a fu41 background.
