The expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP1624 alone leads to the complete loss of Cyst stem cells (only differentiated cyst cells are visible) and to a decrease in the number (or even absence) of hub cells in the testes; similarly, adulthood-only expression (under the additional control of Gal80{ts]) progressive leads to the complete loss of hub cells.

The expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4A3.eya or Scer\GAL4fng-11-26 alone, or Scer\GAL4NP1624 and Scer\GAL80hh-MI10526-T3XG80.0 combined induces a decrease in the number of hub cells in the testes.

The expression of baboQ302D.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 induces a decrease in the number of hub cells in the testes; unlike in controls, almost all testes show hub cell lineage-derived cells outside the hub.

The expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR leads to small ventral longitudinal muscles 3 in third instar larvae.

The expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR, Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL4apolpp.PB leads to binucleated cells and smaller lipid droplets in the third instar larval fat body.

Expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in male flies with weak wing size and patterning defects.

Expression of DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in female flies with weak wing size and patterning defects.

Adults expressing DpGD4444 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in early pupal lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 70-80% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.
