Expression of edGD2575 under the control of Scer\GAL4hth-GETDB in larval antennal discs leads to some cells showing morphological defects, such as swelling, enlargement, or delamination, as compared to controls.

No discernible eye overgrowth is seen when edGD2575 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF. However, expressing edGD2575 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH does result in eye overgrowth.

Expression of edGD2575 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 produces adult wings with enlarged posterior compartments.

Larval wing disc clones expressing edGD2575 sort out from the surrounding wild type cells, exhibiting both rounded and smooth contours rather than the jagged border seen in controls. The wild type cells surrounding the clone assemble a ring of actomyosin cable at the interface and the clone cells themselves develop an apical constriction that is inversely proportional to the size of the clone. shg levels are reduced at some clonal interfaces.

Limiting expression of edGD2575 to a 10 hour period using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B results in clones with a jagged boundary, as is seen in wild type controls. Clone cells do not display any apical construction and are not surrounded by actomyosin cable. Normal levels of shg are also seen. After 12 hours at the restrictive temperature, the shape of the clone varies depending on the level of ed expression, with the level of ed correlating with the amount of actomyosin cable seen. Lower ed levels are also associated with a smoother interface and weaker apical constriction in the clone cells. shg levels remain unchanged. By 22 hours at the restrictive temperature completely ed expression is completely restricted and the clones appear increasingly smooth. A thick actin cable surrounds the entire interface and clear apical constriction is seen in the clone cells. shg disappears from the cell interface.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in extra bristles on the notum in 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in planar polarity defects in the orientation of bristles of the notum in 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in an enlarged notum.
