    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

TkR99DMB09356/TkR99DMB09356 early third instar larvae do not have significantly different baseline thermal nociception (uninjured larval responses to thermal probes at 45[o] or 48[o]C) compared to controls. 24 hours after UV-induced nociceptive sensitization, early third instar TkR99DMB09356/TkR99DMB09356, TkR99Df02797/TkR99DMB09356, TkR99DMB09356/Df(3R)Exel6213 or TkR99DMB09356/TkR99Ds2222 larvae show significant reduction of thermal allodynia (withdrawal responses to a sub-threshold 38[o]C probe) compared to wild type or heterozygote larvae.

TkR99Df02797/TkR99DMB09356 third instar larval fillets do not show a UV-induced increase in action potential firing rate at higher temperatures (36-39[o]C) in class IV neurons, as seen in controls.

    Statement
    Reference

Homozygous TkR99DMB09356 does not suppress the aggression-promoting effect of activating neurons labeled with Scer\GAL4Tk (either the P{Tk-GAL4.TH}5Fa or P{Tk-GAL4.TH}3Ma insertion) through expression of thermosensitive TrpA1Scer\UAS.(B).cKa.

TkR86CΔF28, TkR99DMB09356 double mutants show a strong reduction in baseline and induced aggression compared to controls.

    Comments

Expression of TkR99DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP driven by Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 significantly rescues the reduction of thermal allodynia (withdrawal responses to a sub-threshold 38[o]C probe after UV-induced nociceptive sensitization) seen in early third instar TkR99Df02797/TkR99DMB09356 larvae. TkR99DScer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP driven by Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 significantly restores a UV-induced increase in action potential firing rate in class IV neurons at higher temperatures (36-39[o]C) in third instar TkR99Df02797/TkR99DMB09356 larval fillets.
