Expressing Vps4DN.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU induces enlarged endosomes but does not affect mitochondria localization in white prepupal ddaC neurons' cell bodies, as compared to controls.

Expression of Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock results in a disruption of the actin cytoskeleton in egg chambers, with tangles of abnormal actin accumulation.

Larvae expressing Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-KE continue to grow beyond the normal time of growth termination, become oversized and die shortly after delayed pupation.

Wing discs expressing Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-KE form enlarged tubular structures which contain internal vesicles when characterised ultrastructurally (these structures are not seen in control discs). These structures are often irregular in shape and sometimes occupy most of the cell volume. An increased number of apoptotic cells are seen in these wing discs compared to controls.

Expression of Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-KE results in disruption of the actin cytoskeleton in the wing imaginal disc.

Wing imaginal discs expressing Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096-KE are reduced in size compared to controls.

Larvae expressing Vps4DN.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA show a strong accumulation of autophagic structures in fat body cells (wild-type larval fat body cells show few autophagic structures). Some of these structures are autophagosomes, while others have a morphology consistent with material at various stages of degradation.
