UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624-mediated expression results in elongated stalks owing to an increase in the number of cells connecting two egg chambers. The normal linear alignment of cysts within the germarium is also disturbed. Furthermore, a 4-fold increase in dividing epithelial cells is observed within and outside of the stem cell region of germaria.
Scer\GAL4NP1624, Vps60KK109120 has increased cell number phenotype, suppressible by NKK102890, Scer\GAL4NP1624
Scer\GAL4NP1624, Vps60KK109120 has epithelium phenotype, suppressible by NKK102890, Scer\GAL4NP1624
Scer\GAL4NP1624, Vps60KK109120 has stalk follicle cell phenotype, suppressible by NKK102890, Scer\GAL4NP1624
Scer\GAL4NP1624, Vps60KK109120 has female germline cyst phenotype, suppressible by NKK102890, Scer\GAL4NP1624
Co-expression of NKK102890 prevents the formation of elongated stalks, the disorganization of germaria, and the increased cell numbers seen in Vps60KK109120 Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624 mutants.
