The expression of mysJF02819 under the control of Scer\GAL4BG380, but not Scer\GAL4how-24B, leads to the neurotransmission across muscle 6 neuromuscular junction exhibiting a significant decrease in mEJP frequency, but not amplitude, as compared to controls.

Adult flies expressing mysJF02819 under the control of Scer\GAL4Dot.PK display nephrocyte functional defects (measured by uptake assays) and reduced adult lifespan relative to controls.

Expressing mysJF02819 under the control of Scer\GAL4repo (in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency) results in decreased glial cell numbers in the eye discs of third instar larvae. Photoreceptor axon targeting to the optic stalk is unaffected.

Expression of mysGD15002 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP5130, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the two weeks of adulthood prior to analysis, results in a reduction in Esg-positive progenitors, including a reduction in intestinal stem cell numbers, in the adult posterior midgut, with with a decrease in cell division (PH3 staining) and no increase in apoptosis (TUNEL assay).

The neural invasion phenotype (neural cells from the brain invade adjacent peripheral structures such as imaginal discs) observed in AdamTS-Arnwy1/AdamTS-Arnwy2 mutant third instar larvae is partially suppressed by Scer\GAL4repo-driven expression of mysJF02819.
