The viability of animals expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU is reduced to 62.3%.
Flies expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU show no clear change in locomotion ability in a climbing assay compared to wild-type controls.
Larvae expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU do not have any apparent changes in neuromuscular junction morphology.
Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU, Syn1NIG.7152R has partially lethal - majority die phenotype, enhanceable by Syn237
Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU/Syn1NIG.7152R is an enhancer of abnormal locomotor behavior | adult stage phenotype of Syn237
Nsf2EQ.UAS, Scer\GAL4elav.PLu, Syn1NIG.7152R has abnormal neuroanatomy | third instar larval stage phenotype
Nsf2EQ.UAS, Scer\GAL4elav.PLu, Syn1NIG.7152R, Syn237 has abnormal neuroanatomy | third instar larval stage phenotype
Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU, Syn1NIG.7152R, Syn237 has short lived phenotype
The viability of animals expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU in a Syn237 background is reduced to 13.8%. The double mutant flies pupate and develop into pharate adults that do not show any apparent morphological defects, but the majority do not hatch. Some flies manage to protrude their heads out of the pupal case, but are not able to eclose fully and eventually die.
Flies expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU in a Syn237 background have a median lifespan of 27 days, significantly shorter than that of wild-type controls.
Flies expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU in a Syn237 background have a strongly reduced mobility in a climbing assay compared to wild-type controls, especially in older animals.
Larvae expressing Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU in a Syn237 background do not have any apparent changes in neuromuscular junction morphology.
Larvae co-expressing Nsf2EQ.Scer\UAS and Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu show only a weak increase in total synaptic branch length at the neuromuscular junction. These larvae show a slightly reduced frequency of peristaltic waves compared to wild type.
Larvae co-expressing Nsf2EQ.Scer\UAS and Syn1NIG.7152R under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu in a Syn237 background show a very dramatic increase in total synaptic branch length at the neuromuscular junction. These larvae show a reduced frequency of peristaltic waves compared to wild type.
