The ovaries of homozygous females are morphologically normal. The rate of oogenesis is slower in homozygous ovaries compared to wild type. Eggs laid by homozygous females are patterned normally, but 18% do not hatch.

Eggs laid by LnkCR642 ; grkED22 females are indistinguishable from those laid by grkED22 single mutant females, and all have a single dorsal appendage.
