ari-1^A homozygotes rescued to adulthood by the expression of ari-1^UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4^da.G32 show a decrease in lifespan, as compared to controls.

Expression of ari-1^Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4^how-24B yields cryptocephalic pupae with defective head eversion and a compressed thorax at the anterior end of the pupal case.

Expression of ari-1^Scer\UAS.cFa under the control of either Scer\GAL4^dpp.PS, Scer\GAL4^Dll-md23 or Scer\GAL4^Bx-MS1096 results in defects in wing morphology.
