The clonal expression of N^VDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4^esg-NP5130 leads to a strong reduction in the number of progenitor cells and an increase in the number of enteroendocrine cells in the midgut region, as compared to controls; this expression in the renal tubule region also leads to a decrease in the number of progenitor cells, as compared to controls.
