Expression of stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG in an otherwise wild-type background has no effect on larval size.

No obvious phenotypes are seen when stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG is expressed in wild type flies.

Embryos expressing stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG in a stck3R-17/stck18 mutant background do not display any muscle structure or actin cytoskeleton defects.

stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG increases the frequency of male flw6 escapers from 2.4% to 21.3% at 18[o]C. The rescued males are fertile.

stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG increases the frequency of male flwG0172 escapers from 3.1% to 22.5% at 18[o]C. The rescued males are fertile. stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG increases the small size of flwG0172 larvae, such that they are increased in size compared to wild type. The reduced motility of flwG0172 larvae is rescued by stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG, with the rescued larvae being significantly more motile than wild type. The detachment of ventral intersegmental muscles seen in flwG0172 larvae is partially rescued.

At 25[o]C, stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG fully rescues the larval lethality of flwG0172 mutants, but the pupal lethality is not rescued.

stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG partially but significantly rescues the poor climbing ability of MhcS1 heterozygous adults. Hypercontraction of the indirect flight muscles is not rescued in these animals. Only 2% of the rescued animals have indentations in the dorsal thorax.

icsBG02577 has no effect on the viability of flies expressing stckwt.T:Zzzz\FLAG in a stck3R-17/stck18 mutant background.
