UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of the wild-type Sec71 protein. The construct has been engineered to be resistant to the Sec71HMS00357 RNA line.
The co-expression of Sec71Scer\UAS.RNAi-resistant fully rescues both the dendritic arborization defects at the white pupa stage and the dendrite pruning defects at 16h after puparium formation observed in dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons resulting from the expression of Sec71HMS00357 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU and Dicer-2 transgene; clonal expression under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU rescues the defects in dendrite pruning at 16h after puparium formation observed in clonal Sec71Ex11-homozygous dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons.
