      Expressing Sema5cUAS.EGFP in the entire follicular epithelium under the control of Scer\GAL4NP1624 leads to a small decrease in basal protrusions, as compared to controls.

      Follicle cell clones expressing Sema5cUAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU show reduced basal protrusions and, although projections are present at the front of the clone, they are lost from cells directly behind the clone.
