Nnd-3 hemizygous adult males display nicks in the wing margin, vein deltas as well as vein thickening phenotype.

Nnd-3 mutant flies exhibit significantly enhanced 24 hour long-term memory formation.

Nnd-3 wings display big notches in the wing edges, enlarged veins, and prominent delta formation.

Mutants have a wing nicking phenotype.

Mutant flies have 98.66 +/- 1.86 thoracic microchaetae per heminotum (compared to the wild-type number of 130.35 +/- 1.54).

Nnd-3 flies show excessive branching in the medulla. There is no significant difference in brain volume compared to wild-type flies.

Wing vein L3 is thickened.

Hemizygotes have nicked wings distally and thickened wing veins.

Wing veins are thickened.

Wing margin is scalloped. Wing veins are slightly thickened.

Flies show thickening of all longitudinal veins. Dorsal and ventral implants of Nnd-3 imaginal disc tissue into wild-type imaginal discs have enlarged veins which are all corrugated.

Mild wing nicking phenotype and affects the differentiation of marginal bristles.

Thickened wing veins with deltas and variably notched wing margins.

Individuals homozygous for Bpt1 and Nnd-3 exhibit no Bpt1 phenotype.

Thick wing veins with deltas, occasional apical wing nicks.

The haplo-insufficient phenotype in the mesonotum is an increase in microchaetae density when Nnd-1 and Nnd-3 are in combination with N amorph alleles.

Semilethal, adults exhibit wing notches. Wing phenotype can be enhanced in severity by vg and sca mutations.

Pronounced eye phenotype. Does not interact with dxENU.

Dp(2;Y)G44 males crossed to a stock carrying Nspl-1 produce sons that have straight wings or curly wings. Curly wings result from trisomy for the 44C--50B region: slightly suppress the mutant effect of Nnd-3.

At 29oC homozygotes have a weak thick wing vein phenotype with deltas at the wing vein tips. At 18oC and 25oC they have thick wing veins with deltas and apical notches in the wing.

Lethal when heterozygous with dominant visible alleles of N, semi-lethal when heterozygous with NCo or N60g11.

Hemizygotes and homozygotes have nicked wings and thickened wing veins. Lethal in combination with most N alleles. N264-103/Nnd-3 females survive when raised at 22oC but die at 29oC. One or several temperature sensitive periods (TSPs) for lethality occur during the embryonic, larval and prepupal-pupal stages (either a single TSP for lethality begins in the embryos stage and lasts into the pupal stage or there are several discrete TSPs).

Wings of both sexes notched at ends of L3 and L4 veins; wing veins enlarged and δ-like at tips. Mild mutant expression often limited to wing-vein effect. Mutant expression diminished at high temperature (Shellenbarger and Mohler, 1975). Heterozygotes show extremely weak dominance. Nnd-3/N almost completely lethal; survivors are sterile and have an exaggerated Notch phenotype. Nnd-3/fa closely resembles wild type. Heterozygotes with Nfa-g and spl are complementary; with nd and Nnd-2, heterozygotes are noncomplementary with a mild mutant expression of Nnd-3-like wings. Up to 5% of Nnd-3 males from aged cultures show hyper- and hypodeveloped external genitalia (Kroeger, 1960).

One copy of Klp64Dk1 is unable to enhance the wing notching seen in Nnd-3 heterozygotes.

One copy of arm1 is unable to enhance the wing notching seen in Nnd-3 heterozygotes.

The wing margin notching phenotype observed in Nnd-3 hemizygous males is exacerbated by combination with a single copy of any of the following alleles: Kap-α3D93, Kap-α3D165 or Kap-α3S033513.

Chc4, Nnd-3 double hemizygous mutants display an enhanced wing phenotype compared to Nnd-3 single mutant wings. Loss of a great part of the wing surface and margin to extensive notches is observed, and loss of intervein tissue to vein overgrowth.

The number and severity of wing notching seen in Nnd-3 animals is dominantly enhanced by scad09400 or klud00059.

The Nnd-3 wing nicking phenotype is suppressed nearly to wild type by CG8090c06331/+.

The Nnd-3 wing nicking phenotype is suppressed to wild type by f06222f06222/+.

The number of microchaetae in Nnd-3 flies is increased to 119.33 +/- 1.54 by expression of dshhs.PA using a heat pulse.

CG6194P0997/CG6194P0997 enhances the loss of wing margin seen in Nnd-3/Y flies.

The wing phenotypes (thickened veins and wing-edge loss) of Nnd-3 flies are completely suppressed by pkpk-sple-13.

In double heterozygotes with PsnW6 or PsnW11, L3 is further thickened and wings are notched compared to Nnd-3 single heterozygotes.

The Nnd-3 wing phenotype is suppressed by HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa expressed under the control of Scer\GAL432B.

The dpp loss of vein phenotype is epistatic in dpps4/dpps8 Nnd-3 double mutants, and the vein thickening characteristic of Nnd-3 is eliminated. The thickening of veins seen in tkv1/tkv8 flies is strongly enhanced in combination with Nnd-3.

Nnd-3/Y; vgs2/+ flies lack the distal portion of the ventral wing blade. The wing is greatly reduced in Nnd-3/Y ; vgs2/vgs2 flies, and marginal structures and veins are missing. These double homozygotes have low viability.
