The vein knotting phenotype seen in N+tCos479/+;CycGHR7/+ mutants is enhanced in N+tCos479/+;CycGHR7/CycGHR7 flies, more so in males than in females.

An extra copy of N product provided by N+tCos479 restores uniform size and normal hexagonal array of ommatidia top sno71e3 mutants. The loss of photoreceptor cell phenotype is suppressed, though the mystery cell is still recruited as a photoreceptor. The extra copy of N also rescues the leg phenotype as well as the thick veins and notched blades of the wing.

N+tCos479 can rescue the sterility of homozygous Nl1N-ts1 female flies kept at non-permissive temperatures, and can also rescue the reduction in fertility seen in male Nl1N-ts1 flies after exposure to non-permissive temperatures.
