Expression of aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF produces a rough eye phenotype.

Over-expression using Scer\GAL4fkh.PH leads to a high proportion of salivary glands losing a ductal connection to the embryo surface.

Overexpression of argosScer\UAS.cHa, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E in the posterior compartment of the wing leads to 100% of vein loss in vein L4, and 90% in vein L5.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, in embryonic posterior compartment cells leads to induction of apoptosis and reduction in compartment cell number. Surviving cells are larger than normal.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa, under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev results in a decrease in cone, 2o, and 3o cell numbers in the eye.

Stage 16 argosScer\UAS.cHa; Scer\GAL4en-e16E embryos have reduced numbers of oenocytes per cluster. Most clusters have 3 oenocytes, but a few have the wild-type 6, suggesting that one round of delamination of 3 oenocytes occurs as in wild-type but that a second round is frequently blocked.

Expression of Scer\GAL469B under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in a vein loss phenotype in the wing.

Expression of aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in a narrower wing in which vein L4 and the anterior crossvein are missing.

When argosScer\UAS.cHa is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 27% of bracts in the tibia and 85% in the basitarsus of the second leg remain. Animals have fewer bracts in dorsal vs ventral rows on the basitarsus. The dorsal rows 4 and 5 have 27% and 44% of bracts respectively, compared to 85-100% for the remaining rows. Also in 3/10 legs a transformation of the huge 'apical' bristle into a chemosensory bristle of ordinary size is seen. When driven by Scer\GAL4Dll-md23 26% of bracts in the tibia and 30% in the basitarsus of the second leg remain. Animals have fewer bracts in dorsal vs ventral rows on the basitarsus of the second leg. Mutant legs also lack claws and apodemes. Also in 4/10 legs a transformation of the huge 'apical' bristle into a chemosensory bristle of ordinary size is seen.

Clones of argosScer\UAS.cHa (driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PC) in the adult abdomen do not show any consistent alterations of normal polarity.

When argosScer\UAS.cHa is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 all bracts are removed.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-C253, both macrochaetae and microchatea are suppressed on the notum.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 has no effect on furrow initiation in the eye disc.

Wing veins develop normally when argosScer\UAS.cHa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4604 and in some cases ectopic wing vein tissue is formed, in close proximity to vein territories.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa by Scer\GAL471B produces wings with a vein loss phenotype.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa in the developing wing blade using Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 causes the loss of most wing veins.

Scer\GAL469B-mediated expression causes a mild or moderate extra-vein phenotype. Winga ares also smaller than wild type as vein cells that replace inter vein cells are more compact. Mediated expression also causes a rough eye phenotype: eyes are smaller than wild type and some ommatidia are fused. Scer\GAL4bs-1348-mediated expression causes a mild or moderate extra-vein phenotype.

A homozygous rho-5KO1 background suppresses the rough eye phenotype seen when aosScer\UAS.cHa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Expression of sip3GD3145 suppresses the rough eye phenotype seen when aosScer\UAS.cHa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Expression of Edem2dsRNA.Scer\UAS suppresses the rough eye phenotype seen when aosScer\UAS.cHa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Coexpression of argosScer\UAS.cHa and mskScer\UAS.cLa, under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, enhances the vein loss phenotype of argos to 100% in L4 and 100% in L5.

Expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa, under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev in temperature-shifted lzts1 mutants results in a few small clusters of 2o/3o cells, which are not seen in argosScer\UAS.cHa Scer\GAL4hs.2sev single mutants.

The decreased numbers of oenocytes per cluster seen in argosScer\UAS.cHa; Scer\GAL4en-e16E is not suppressed by rhoScer\UAS.cdCa; Scer\GAL4en-e16E embryos.

Co-expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa rescues the extra wing vein phenotype caused be expression of vnΔIg.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

Co-expression of Pi3K68DKD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC suppresses the loss of wing vein L4 and the anterior crossvein caused by expression of aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL469B, but the posterior crossvein is lost in the double mutant flies.

Co-expression of Pi3K68DScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC enhances the loss of wing veins caused by expression of aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

Df(3L)vin3/+ suppresses the loss of wing vein L4 seen in flies expressing aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

Df(3R)Pi3K92EA/+ has no effect on the loss of wing vein L4 seen in flies expressing aosScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL469B.

Microchaetae and macrochaetae of the notum caused by expression of DlD.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4sca-C253 are eliminated by co-expression of argosScer\UAS.cHa.

The addition of argosScer\UAS.cHa produces an phenotype intermediate of those caused by argosScer\UAS.cHa or vnScer\UAS.cSa alone (driven by Scer\GAL471B) the vein loss phenotype of argosScer\UAS.cHa is partially rescued, the extra vein phenotype of vnScer\UAS.cSa is rescued.
