Expression of E(spl)mγ-HLHScer\UAS.cLa in the somatic musculature, under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU does not affect SNa branching.

Neuronal expression of E(spl)mγ-HLHScer\UAS.cLa, under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in lethality in the early embryo.

Expression of dpnScer\UAS.cWa under the control of an insertion of Scer\GAL4GMR9D11 that expresses in ase[-] immature Intermediate Neural Progenitors (INPs) (P{GMR9D11-GAL4}2) results in supernumerary type II neuroblasts in larval brains. No supernumerary neuroblasts are seen when dpnScer\UAS.cWa is expressed in ase[+] immature INPs using P{GMR9D11-GAL4}attP2.

Expression of HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PB has no effect on either eye or antenna disc development.

When HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa is driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 bristle los is observed on the notum.

HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa, when driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544, causes the loss of the dorsal row of wing margin sensory organ precursors. HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa, when driven by Scer\GAL4455.2, causes the loss of scutellar bristles.

Flies expressing HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL432B show severe loss of wing veins. Loss of notum microchaetae and wing margin bristles is seen. Flies expressing HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 show complete loss of notum microchaetae and macrochaetae, except at the very anterior edge of the notum. Flies expressing HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4455.2 show severe loss of scutellar bristles. Flies expressing HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4h-1J3 show loss of notum macrochaetae.

Formation of sensory organ precursors (SOPs) of the femoral chordotonal sense organ is suppressed in leg discs in which HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-109-68.

Flies expressing one copy of HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa under the control of one copy of Scer\GAL4h-H10 are phenotypically wild-type.

A milder enhancement is seen when E(spl)mγ-HLHScer\UAS.cLa is expressed using an insertion of Scer\GAL4GMR9D11 that expresses in ase[+] INPs (P{GMR9D11-GAL4}attP2).

Expression of E(spl)mγ-HLHScer\UAS.cLa under the control of an insertion of Scer\GAL4GMR9D11 that expresses in ase[+] immature Intermediate Neural Progenitors (INPs) (P{GMR9D11-GAL4}attP2) enhances the supernumerary neuroblast phenotype seen in hypomorphic erm mutant larval brains (erm1/Df(2L)erm2 mutants expressing ermT:Zzzz\FLAG).

Co-expression of HLHmγScer\UAS.cLa and scScer\UAS.cPa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in adult flies with a bald stripe in the centre of the thorax (the formation of ectopic chaetae caused by expression of scScer\UAS.cPa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 is suppressed in these flies).
