The expression of CTPsynGD4740 under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 has no obvious affect on the inflammatory response to Gram-positive bacterial infection or under basal conditions, as compared to controls.

Expression of CTPsynGD4740 RNAi (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of either Scer\GAL455B or Scer\GAL4CY2 results in significant decrease in the proportion of follicle cells undergoing DNA replication replication (measured by BrU incorporation) in stage 9 egg chambers compared to controls. Expression under the Scer\GAL4CY2 driver also leads to reduced nuclear size in stage 10A egg chambers compared to controls.

Expression via "HHLT-gal4" or Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ results in loss of progenitor cells in the primary lobes of the larval lymph gland. ("HHLT-gal4" is a combination of Scer\GAL4HCH.Hand and Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ that express in early lymph gland blood cells (hemocytes) and circulating and sessile blood cells, respectively, and incorporates Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Rnor\CD2.Act5C to maintain expression in the lymph gland after Scer\GAL4HCH.Hand is down-regulated.)

No wing phenotypes are evident when CTPsynGD4740 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.

Knockdown of CTPsyn, through expression of CTPsynGD4740, under the control of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Rnor\CD2.Act5C, does not impede clonal growth.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 may result in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls (depending on the insertion line used).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 may result in mild defects in the shape of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain (depending on the insertion line used).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 may result in an increase in the average size of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain compared to controls (depending on the insertion line used).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 may result in mild defects in the shape of neuroblasts in the larval brain (depending on the insertion line used).

Adults expressing CTPsynGD4740 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in early pupal lethality or late larval lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in grossly normal larval body wall muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in wild-type sarcomeres in the larval body wall muscles.

The decrease in percentage of follicle cells undergoing DNA replication (measured by BrdU incorporation) observed in stage 9 egg chambers as well as the decreased follicle cell nuclear size in stage 10A egg chamber expressing CTPsynGD4740 under the control of Scer\GAL4CY2 is further decreased by combination with CblF165 in heterozygous state.

About a fifth of eggs laid by CblF165 heterozygous females expressing CTPsynGD4740 under the control of Scer\GAL4CY2 has a defective collapsed phenotype that is not observed in eggs laid by CblF165/+ flies.

Expression of CTPsynGD4740 enhances the wing hinge phenotype seen when hng1KK103642 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096.

Knockdown of CTPsyn, through expression of CTPsynGD4740, induces a strong, significant reduction in tumor growth in Ras85DV12.Scer\UAS-scrib1 mutant larval MARCM clones.
