UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Presynaptic expression of NrgGD82 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in synaptic retraction in third instar larval NMJs. The frequency of retractions is increased when NrgGD82 is co-expressed with Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa, or if two motor neuron drivers are used in combination (Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371).
Muscle-specific expression of NrgGD82 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU (co-expressed with Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa) does not produce synaptic retraction in third instar larval NMJs.
NrgGD82, Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has abnormal neuroanatomy | third instar larval stage phenotype, non-suppressible by Fas2UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371, Scer\GAL4elav-C155
Dcr-2UAS.cDa, NrgGD82, Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 has lethal phenotype
NrgGD82, Scer\GAL4elav-C155 has embryonic/larval neuromuscular junction | third instar larval stage phenotype, non-suppressible by Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371/Fas2UAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4elav-C155
Expression of Fas2Scer\UAS.cLa fails to suppress the synaptic retraction phenotype seen in the NMJs of third instar larvae when NrgGD82 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371.
NrgGD82 is rescued by Scer\GAL4elav-C155/NrgUAS.180.cEa
Expression of NrgScer\UAS.180.cEa significantly rescues the synapse retraction phenotype seen when NrgGD82 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371.
