Expression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa in the aCC/RP2 axons (under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RN2), results in stalling, mostly in the dorsolateral muscle field before reaching their most dorsal target muscles (in 70% of hemisegments). Stalled aCC/RP2 axons cause a co-arrest of the complete intersegmental motor neurons, including the VUMs, in 70% of cases. Of the 30% of cases in which aCC/RP2 axons stall but U axons escape, 27% show co-arrest of VUM neurons with aCC/RP2 and 73% show escape.

Expression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa in the aCC/RP2 axons at late larval stages (under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RRK), does not affect their morphology.

Expression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa in the U motorneurons (under the control of eve2xCQ.RC.T:Scer\GAL4), results in stalling. Stalled U motorneurons cause a co-arrest of the complete intersegmental motor neurons in 10% of cases. If U neurons are stalled, aCC/RP2 axons escape in 90% of cases. An estimated 4.4% of VUM neurons co-arrest.

Expression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa in the VUM neurons (under the control of Scer\GAL4MzVum), results in stalling. Stalled VUM axons cause a co-arrest of the complete intersegmental motor neurons in 0% of cases.

Coexpression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa and Fas2Scer\UAS.cLa in the 3 U motorneurons (under the control of eve2xCQ.RC.T:Scer\GAL4 results in the co-arrest of 54% of the intersegmental motor nerves, indicating an enhancement on the ISN phenotype observed in RdlScer\UAS.cSa;eve2xCQ.RC.T:Scer\GAL4 overexpression experiments.

Coexpression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa and Fas2Scer\UAS.cLa in the aCC/RP2 axons (under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RN2 results in the co-arrest of 97% of the intersegmental motor nerves (ISN), indicating an enhancement on the ISN phenotype observed in RdlScer\UAS.cSa;Scer\GAL4eve.RN2 overexpression experiments (where 70% of ISNs are stalled).

Intersegmental nerves are co-arrested upon expression of RdlScer\UAS.cSa in the aCC/RP2 neurons (under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.RN2) in a Fas2EB112 mutant background in 36% of cases, compared with 70% in a wild-type background.
