Detailed Description

The expression of Snr1HMS00363 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 leads to a severe increase in the number of type II neuroblasts per third instar larval brain lobe coupled to brain enlargement, as compared to controls.

Somatic (flip-out) clones of cells expressing Snr1HMS00363 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU are highly apoptotic in the wing pouch but cause mainly cell non-autonomous increase in proliferation and tissue overgrowth in the notum region of third instar larval wing disc.

Expression of Snr1HMS00363 under the control of Scer\GAL4SPARC-MI00329-GAL4 does not result in melanisation of the fat body.

Statement
Reference

The increased number of type II neuroblasts and brain enlargement in third instar larval brain lobes resulting from the expression of Snr1HMS00363 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 is almost fully suppressed by the co-expression of Su(Tpl)HMS00277.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Co-expression of Snr1HMS00363 and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa driven by Scer\GAL4Act.PU in somatic (flip-out) clones in either wing or eye discs of third instar larvae leads to aggressive tissue overgrowth. This overgrowth is (in the wing discs) significantly suppressed by co-expression of any of the following: Stat92EdsRNA.Scer\UAS, NJF02959, pucScer\UAS.cMa or bskDN.Scer\UAS.cUa but not by co-expression of either Ilp8GD1670 or Mmp1JF01336.

Massive tissue overgrowth is also observed in wing discs expressing the Snr1HMS00363 and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa under the control of either Scer\GAL4en.PU or Scer\GAL4ptc.PU, this also leads to developmental delay as some of the animals stay in larval stage for up to 10 days.

Comments

Co-expression of Snr1HMS00363 and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa driven by Scer\GAL4Act.PU in somatic (flip-out) clones in either wing discs of third instar larvae leads to aggressive tissue overgrowth, which can be rescued by expression of Snr1Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1, partially rescued by expression Snr1ΔC.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1 but cannot be rescued by expression of Snr1ΔNES.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Ivir\HA1.
