Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in a mild rough eye phenotype (disrupted ommatidial array organisation and bristle loss).

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS in the region posterior to the morphogenic furrow in the eye imaginal disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS or in the posterior compartment of the wing imaginal disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU, causes a rough eye phenotype in the compound eyes and an extra wing crossvein phenotype in the wings.

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS mainly in the border between the anterior and the posterior compartment of the wing imaginal disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, causes an extra wing crossvein phenotype in and around the border.

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS mainly in the border between the anterior and the posterior compartment of the wing imaginal disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, results in an extra wing crossvein phenotype.

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS mainly in the wing pouch of the wing imaginal disc, under the control of Scer\GAL4c179, results in an extra wing crossvein phenotype.

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU, Scer\GAL4Dll.PU, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL469B does not generate any morphological change.

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS with Scer\GAL4GMR.PS causes a rough eye phenotype in adult eyes. The ommatidia lack their regular hexagonal shape and some missing bristles are apparent. This phenotype is repressed at low temperatures (e.g. 19[o]C).

Expression of TgA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH, Scer\GAL4Dll-md23, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, Scer\GAL4sd.PU, Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL469B does not cause any apparent morphological changes.

Co-expression of TgA.Scer\UAS and Pink1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in enhanced rough eye phenotypes compared to expression of either construct alone. Co-expression of Pink1NIG.4523R suppresses the mild rough eye phenotype seen in flies with TgA.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

A bsk1/+, bsk2/+, hepr75/+, or a hep1/+ background suppressed the rough eye phenotype found upon expression of TgA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS.

Co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa, suppresses the rough eye phenotype induced by the overexpression of TgA.Scer\UAS in the eye imaginal disc under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PS.
