ScerGAL4DvirPdf.1.9 is expressed in Pdf neurons, the Pdf negative s-LNv neuron and three CRY negative LNd neurons and one cry and ITP positive LITP and CRY expressing LNd neuron.

ScerGAL4DvirPdf.1.9 drives expression in morning and evening oscillating neurons.

Drives expression in Pdf neurons, including LNv and LNd neurons, and morning and evening cells.

ScerGAL4DvirPdf.1.9 drives expression in four circadian morning (M) cells (s-LNv Pdf neuron), and in four evening (E) cells, three cry-expressing dorsolateral neurons (LNd neuron), and the fifth s-LNv neuron.

Elimination of molecular clock function (using cycΔ.UAS.Tag:MYC) in a subset of Scer\GAL4Dvir\Pdf.1.9 cells (restricted using Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS) in adults does not affect the strength of the circadian rhythm of sleep-wake cycles, compared to controls. Elimination of clock function in a subset of the combined set of Scer\GAL4GMR78G02 and Scer\GAL4Dvir\Pdf.1.9 cells (restricted using Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS) in adults significantly reduces the strength of the circadian rhythm of sleep-wake cycles, compared to controls.

Inhibition (using Hsap\KCNJ2UAS.EGFP) of a subset of Scer\GAL4Dvir\Pdf.1.9 cells (restricted using Scer\GAL80Pdf.PS) significantly reduces the strength of the circadian rhythm of sleep-wake cycles, compared to controls.
