Clonal expression of tjScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU in larval terminal filament cells leads to TF cells appearing rounder than their control neighbors, with significantly increased height and decreased width as compared to control TF cells, although they do correctly intercalate and remain in the terminal filament.
Expression of tjScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624 does not cause obvious defects in the female germline stem cell niche.
Overexpression of tjScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 impairs border cell (BCC) cluster migration in the ovary. At mid or late stage 9, when most control BCCs are undergoing migration, almost all tjScer\UAS.cGa-overexpressing BCCs fail to migrate. Several BCCs appear to move away from the anterior tip of the follicle but are unable to detach from the epithelium. Even at stage 10b, very few BCCs reach the oocyte.
In mosaic BCCs, tjScer\UAS.cGa-overexpressing rosette cells, unlike controls, are usually found at the trailing end of the BCC.
tjUAS.cGa, Scer\GAL4NP1624 is a non-suppressor of decreased cell number | adult stage phenotype of NJF02959, Scer\GAL4NP1624
tjUAS.cGa/Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 is an enhancer of border follicle cell phenotype of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6, slbo01310
tjUAS.cGa, Scer\GAL4NP1624 is a non-suppressor of female germline stem cell | adult stage phenotype of NJF02959, Scer\GAL4NP1624
tjUAS.cGa, Scer\GAL4NP1624 is a non-suppressor of germarium cap cell | adult stage phenotype of NJF02959, Scer\GAL4NP1624
Co-expression of tjScer\UAS.cGa fails to suppress the decrease in cap cell and germline stem cell numbers in ovaries from flies expressing NJF02959 under the control of Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624.
Overexpression of Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6>tjScer\UAS.cGa in slbo01310 mutants causes a complete blockage of border cell cluster migration.
