The expression of Arf79FQ71L.Scer\UAS.cWa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4GSG2295 and RU486 treatment from mid-third instar larval stage onwards leads to dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons exhibiting a fully penetrant and severe defect in dendrite pruning, as shown by the persistence of some dendritic branches at 16h-18h after puparium formation, but no obvious defects in the dendritic tree at the white pupa stage, as compared to controls.
