The expression of AP-2σUAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 rescues the larval synaptic phenotypes but not the lethality observed in AP-2σKG02457 homozygotes and in AP-2σKG02457/AP-2σang-7 or AP-2σang-5/AP-2σang-7 transheterozygotes. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU rescues both lethality and larval synaptic phenotypes in AP-2σKG02457 homozygotes and in AP-2σKG02457/AP-2σang-7 transheterozygotes.
The expression of AP-2σUAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU partially rescues the eye morphology and ERG defects induced by AP-2σang-7 whole-eye clones; it fully rescues the photoreceptor cell loss.
