Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU results in shrunken and completely deformed adult wings at 25[o]C but this phenotype is masked at 18[o]C and the wings appear normal.

Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PU (together with tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the time of expression to adulthood) results in significantly decreased adult lifespan and loss of dopaminergic neurons from the PPL1, PPM1/2 and PPM3 clusters in the adult brain. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU in combination with Scer\GAL80ple.PK (and tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the time of expression to adulthood) does not significantly affect adult survival.

Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4kirre.PU does not affect myoblast fusion in embryos.

Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of either Scer\GAL4C855a or Scer\GAL4c768 results in an expansion of neuroepithelial cells in the outer proliferation center of late-third larval instar optic lobes. Fewer medulla neuroblasts than normal are seen in the mutant brains.

MARCM clones of DlScer\UAS.cUa result in mild overgrowth of the adult eye.

Flies expressing DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF have a rough eye phenotype.

Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4sv.PJ results in multiple rows of pigment cells surrounding each ommatidial cluster in the pupal eye disc (in contrast to wild type where each ommatidium is surrounded by a single hexagonal array of pigment cells).

Expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4kni.L2 results in modest truncation of wing vein L2 in females and almost complete absence of vein L2 in males.

Flies expressing DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU and kept at 18[o]C do not display any overt wing phenotype but show notching of the wing margin upon co-expression of either Neurl4EY12221 or HERC2G17171.

The loss of dopaminergic neurons from the PPL1, PPM1/2 and PPM3 clusters in the adult brain characteristic for flies expressing DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PU (together with tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the time of expression to adulthood) can be prevented by co-expression of any of the following: neurScer\UAS.cUa, LrrkGD11670, Neurl4GD11930 or HERC2VDRC.cUa.

MARCM clones of DlScer\UAS.cUa in Utx1 mosaic eyes result in massive overgrowth of the adult eye and head. The overgrowth is so strong that only a few mosaic flies are recovered as adults; most die at pupal stages.

Co-expression of RbfScer\UAS.cDa suppresses the strong overgrowth phenotype seen when DlScer\UAS.cUa is overexpressed in Utx1 mosaic eyes.

trbdDelta/+ does not suppress the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of DlScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
