The expression of E(spl)m8-HLHScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-109-68 results in adults exhibiting a virtually complete loss of thoracic sensory macrochaeta and microchaeta, leading to a 'bald appearance', as compared to controls.

The gl-positive corpora cardiaca precursor cells are missing in stage 12 embryos expressing E(spl)Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4twi.2PE.

No extra neuroblasts are seen when E(spl)m8-HLHScer\UAS.cUa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA or Scer\GAL4elav.PU.

Expression of E(spl)m8-HLHScer\UAS.cUa with Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 has no effect on the eye, but elicits loss of the scutellar macrochaetes and interommatidial bristles.

Expression of E(spl)m8-HLHScer\UAS.cUa with Scer\GAL4455.2 results in potent loss of scutellar macrochaetes.

Expression of E(spl)Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4neur-GAL4-A101 results in a complete loss of bristles on the notum.

Expression of E(spl)Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Tollo-MD806 has no effect on the bristles of the notum.
